SURFACE PREPARATION & MIXING
- Mechanical Prep: Grind concrete to ICRI CSP 2-3 profile. Vacuum slab dust-free.
- Moisture Check: Slab must test <3 lbs MVER or <75% RH. If higher, apply MVB 49.
- Pigment Incorporation: Pre-mix 1 jar (150g) Epoxy49 Metallic Pigment per gal Part A.
- Mix Ratio: Accurately combine 2 Parts A to 1 Part B by volume in clean mixing pail.
- Mechanical Mix: Blend 3 minutes with spiral paddle at 350 RPM. Scrape bucket sides.
- Immediate Placement: Empty contents immediately onto floor in continuous ribbons.
- Spread & Back-Roll: Spread with 18" Magic Trowel or notched squeegee; back-roll with 3/8" nap.
- Coverage Yield: Metallic flow: 125–150 sq. ft. per 3-gal kit (32–40 wet mils). Neat: 300–450 sq. ft.
- Artistic Movement: Mist 91% Isopropyl alcohol within 20 min to create custom marbling effects.
- Recoat Window: 8 to 24 hours. If >24 hrs, mechanically abrade with 80-grit screen.
